Senior Infrastructure Analyst – Contract Slough

Our global client based in the Thames Valley has a contract requirement for a Senior Infrastructure Analyst. The role is to provide third line BAU support, encompassing service desk, desk side, server and infrastructure support to ensure that the client infrastructure, network and their associated back-office dependencies are both available and optimised for peak performance. In addition to this primary role the analyst may also be involved in the implementation of new IT technical projects as directed by team of Technical Project Analysts.

The primary responsibilities will be:

  • Deliver best in class IT infrastructure services for the clients internal and external customers
  • Ensure availability & performance of business systems to achieve SLA and great customer service
  • Maximise uptime and availability of servers, networks and applications across the UK Infrastructure Estate
  • Complete analysis, planning and reporting as requested
  • Support Asset Management and inventory reporting
  • Capacity planning
  • Responsible for implementing adequate Monitoring and alerting systems and processes to support the availability and uptime of the UK Infrastructure estate
  • Support the Infrastructure Architect in deliverables where required
  • Provide third line support for client users for tickets raised through the service desk
  • Own case/calls until resolved to the customer’s satisfaction
  • Resolution of issues escalated from desk top support analyst 
  • Creation of clear documentation, processes and user guides

  • Microsoft Operating Systems - Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 R2, Windows 7 / 8 / 10
  • Active Directory/Group Policies
  • DNS/DHCP/TCP-IP
  • Symantec End Point Protection – Encryption/Anti-virus/Firewall
  • Networking knowledge covering LAN/vLAN/WAN technologies
  • Video conferencing – Polycom
  • VMware ESXi 4.1/6.0
  • Citrix Xenapp 6.0 and Xendesktop
  • iGel Thin Clients
  • Corporate Secure Printing Kyocera/Canon
  • Mobile Device Management – MobileIron
  • Apple iOS support. Linux, Office 365, Websense
  • Candidate must be analytical, precise, with open questioning approach
  • Lateral thinker with the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Fleuent in business English, both written and verbal
  • Customer facing and customer focused
  • Owns problems and sees them through to the satisfaction of the customer
  • Security conscious
  • Full mobility required, Full current driving license required

This is an initial 3 month contract starting mid-August. A competitive day rate is offered to the right  individual
